Former IMG Academy goalkeeper Cody Cropper has finally landed a contract offer after almost two years of trials and disappointments. The 17-year old wound up with Roy Keane’s English Championship side Ipswich Town as reported at Inside Minnesota Soccer. Former New England Revolution defender Amaechi Igwe has signed a contract with newly-promoted Bundesliga 2 side FC Ingolstadt, according to reports out of Germany. The 22-year old is making the move on a free transfer. ASN’s ‘Over There’ page has more.

Former New England Revolution SuperDraft pick Amaechi Igwe is reportedly on trial at 2. Bundesliga side Greuther Fuerth. German Web site transfermarkt.de said the 21-year old defender had joined Fuerth after an unsuccessful trial with Danish club Aalborg.

Victor Kamara, a 19-year old former Red Bull Academy player has been making waves in Europe and is close to signing with Malta’s Sliema Wanderers, ASN has learned.

Mexican-American Hector Quintanar has signed with Danish second division club Brabrand IF, according to a report by a German Web site. Little is known about Quintanar, who previously played for Mexico’s Veracruz, but ASN was able to parse a few things together.

Devann Yao, a 19-year old, New York-born winger has signed a contract with Roy Keane’s Ipswich Town until the end of the season, the Coca Cola Football League Championship side announced Feb. 3. Yao has been with Ipswich since at least November, when he was first offered a contract.

Chicago native Rob Valentino, a former Generation Adidas player most recently with the Colorado Rapids, is on trial with Norwegian Adeccoligaen (second division) side Lov-Ham, according to reports from Norway.

Houston Dynamo midfielder Stuart Holden has signed a contract to play with Bolton Wanderers of the English Premier League. The contract ties him to Owen Coyle through the end of their 2009-10 season, but judging by the language on Holden’s Web site, he does not expect to be back in a Dynamo kit anytime soon, if ever.
